In addition to over 22 years of experience in the financial services industry, Richard Colarossi holds the Certified Financial Planner® designation issued by the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards, Inc. This mark holds financial planners to a strict standard of ethics and professional knowledge.
Mr. Colarossi received the Certified Specialist in Estate Planning Designate from the national Institute for Excellence in Professional Education, LLC in Devon, Pennsylvania. It is awarded to those financial professionals who have demonstrated competency in estate planning and trust taxation.
While attending the State University of New York, College at Old Westbury, Mr. Colarossi attained a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting and finance. In addition Mr. Colarossi completed further studies from the Advanced Program of the School of Continuing Studies, Financial Planner Program at C.W. Post College.
A career in financial planning also serves as an opportunity to become a financial educator. Mr. Colarossi frequently lectures on retirement and distribution planning. He has appeared as a guest speaker on the television program Dollars & Sense to discuss advanced business planning including buy/sell agreements and pension plans. In addition, Mr. Colarossi has been published in the Wall Street Journal, Journal of Financial Planning, Financial Planner Magazine, Investment News and Solutions a Practice Management supplement to the Journal of Financial Planning.
A long-time resident of the town of Babylon, Richard resides there with his wife Rosalie and daughter Jessica. He is active in many community and school organizations.
